Jennifer Johnson was born in California among surprising circumstances. A month early and the opposite gender expected, she spends her life following these tenets - being early for most everything and being contrary. She discovered her interest in art in 6th grade and then quickly became a trial to teachers for constantly drawing during every class. On homework, on notes, on the desks - got detention for that one. Early on her goal was to become a Disney Animator but over time this objective changed as computers took over the world of animation.
After going through many odd jobs of website design, t-shirt design, and painting murals for schools, she discovered her true calling. Now she strives to find a niche in the realm of illustration; children’s books, book covers, greeting cards, and much more. Between adjusting into married life, working at the office and taking care of her myriad of pets she spends as much time as possible improving her work through constant practice. Every so often she has a moment to work on her own children’s books in hopes of having them published one day. Of course she still draws in the margins of her office work, much to the resigned amusement of her boss.
